Chelsea Rose's artwork is reminiscent of Tim Burton's movies and personal drawings. She works in pen and ink for her small drawing and acrylic paint for her larger paintings. Each piece contains her signature reptilian eyes, curlicues, and lovely dresses. The winners of the giveaway will get a 5" x 7" print of her work printed on cardstock and sealed in clear, archival sleeves.

MMM- On the beach.. well almost there..

got out of the truck to stetch the legs first ;-)
i used a fair bit to make this on muslin, stamping, magazine images, Karen Owen images, napkin sea shell(pva works wonders) and a gel medium transfer truck that took 'em all on the holiday ;-)

pheww.. my needle is still smoking!managed to finish this piece just in time for the contest at Blackbird Designs.The requisites were adding a family name and a bird (mine actually was a bird pattern for filet crochet courtsey of

the name is my grandmothers, i never knew her but was told many years ago that she knittted, crocheted, embroidered and had an old singer sewing machine, the date, 1928 was the year in which she brought into the world her 4th child, my mother.
The fabric i used is by lakeside linens, the color is, the one and only, (a xmas present from ROX)
i couldnt make up my mind which part of it to use, finally decided that the dark aged look is what i wanted.
I also took the liberty of adding a few beads on either side of the bird, one looks squashed..;-) its not.. just cos it was under the scanner.
